Low Carb Keto salad dressings are not always easy to find in the store. When you do, they are often full of food additives and preservatives that most of us don't want anything to do with.

The solution?

Make Caesar Salad Dressing with Kefir

your own! This easy Keto Caesar Dressing uses basic ingredients that you probably already have around the house. It can be made either with heavy whipping cream or with kefir.

This is a Keto Recipe which means it is high fat and low in carbs. You could easily adapt this to a lower fat option by swapping out the ingredients.

Why Kefir?

Milk Kefir is a tangy fermented beverage that is loaded with good for you gut bugs (priobiotics). We love kefir in salad dressing is a great way to enjoy it's tangy flavor. It also has great shelf life in the refrigerator. We go through a full batch of this in 3-4 days.

What if I don't have Kefir?

No problem! Instead of using milk kefir, just use heavy whipping cream. Heavy whipping cream is a great ingredient for a keto recipe because it's very low in carbs.

If you head to the store and look at a kefir label, you'll notice the kefir has quite a few carbs. Commercially made kefir uses a different process than a homemade milk kefir recipe. I recommend that you make your own kefir at home to truly enjoy a low carb kefir. During the fermentation process, the kefir grains digest the lactose in milk. (Lactose is sugar found in milk) Therefore, the result is a delicious low-carb kefir. We ferment ours for about 3 days which yields in a tangy and low-carb kefir beverage!

  • Whisk or blend all the ingredients except for the Parmesan cheese together
  • Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese into the Caesar dressing base. Enjoy!
