Low Carb Vanilla Peppermint Frosting

Low Carb Vanilla Peppermint Frosting

This low carb frosting recipe is very flexible. Want a vanilla frosting? Just omit the peppermint.

Looking for a Lemon frosting? Use Lemon Vitality Essential Oil in place of the peppermint.

Now, let's talk peppermint. One of my all time favorite flavors.

I am obsessed with my dark chocolate cupcakes topped with this creamy keto peppermint frosting. I've used Young Living Peppermint Vitality Essential Oil to create a crisp and refreshing sugar free peppermint frosting.

Tips For Making Keto Frosting

I made this frosting one day and couldn't get it to whip up right because I had forgotten to warm my cream cheese and butter. It was the middle of winter and the house was 65 degrees.

You can learn from my mistake by always warming your ingredients, especially when it's cold!

Substitutions for Keto Frosting

The sugar substitute I'm using is called Bocha Sweet and is made from a Japanese pumpkin. Bocha Sweet is a natural sweetener that is a superfood and does not raise blood sugar levels. The best part is that it tastes almost exactly like sugar. There's no strange aftertaste. It's the perfect secret weapon for occasional indulgences for those of us who avoid sugar and synthetic sweeteners.

You can substitute other natural sweeteners in here. To read all about the natural sweeteners that I recommend check out my Sugar Substitute Guide.

Note that the links in this blog are affiliate links when possible. An “affiliate link” is a way for me to earn money to help support my business. Affiliate links cost you nothing extra. They work like this: You choose to click on an affiliate link on my website and make a purchase. Depending on my relationship with that company you just purchased from–I earn either a small percentage or a fixed amount for “referring” you to the company.

I only refer you to products and brands that I have used in the past or are currently using and that I like the quality of. In some cases, products are discontinued and I find a substitution. This is usually only for kitchen gadgets but sometimes companies stop making ingredients too!

Thank you for considering using my affiliate links and helping me out 🙂
